Emotional Maturity, Self Esteem and Need Pattern among Male and Female Students

Abstract

The present study was conducted to investigate the necessity of Emotional Maturity and its relationship with Self esteem and Need pattern. A  sample consisting of 200 college students (100 Males and100 Females) age between 18 to25 years was taken. Emotional Maturity, Self Esteem, Need Pattern were assessed with the help of Emotional Maturity Scale, Need Pattern Scale and Self Esteem Scale. No significant differences were found in terms of gender on the dimensions of emotional maturity, self esteem and need pattern yet significant inter-correlations were found between many dimensions of emotional maturity, self esteem and need pattern.
